Miyouki Jego

Ms. Jego was born and raised in Ontario. Her passion for dance grew so intense that at the age of fourteen, her parents sent her to live in Alberta to study at the Edmonton School of Ballet. In the professional program she studied musical theatre, jazz, modern, tap, character dance, and choreography. The main focus was ballet in both RAD and Cecchetti methods.

Ms. Jego performed in various ballets including The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Don Quixote, and others. Ms. Jego’s interest in ballet shifted to teaching. She pursued avenues of training that exemplify the importance of proper dance instruction.

Since 1999, Miyouki has been leading and developing ballet programs at various competitive dance schools, arts centres, and recreational programs, in Alberta and British Columbia. Ms. Jego took a brief pause in her ballet studies and enrolled at the University of Alberta to gain her degree in Nutritional sciences. Her mission is to develop healthy, holistically educated ballet students.

She currently practices nutrition as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist to students in Vancouver. For the past 20 years and continuing, Miyouki has taught students ranging in age from 2 to 85 years and has had experience with adjudication, program planning, and exam preparations.
