Dress Rehearsal and Recital –Thursday, June 1st will be held at Glenlyon Norfolk School Theatre 781 Richmond Street.
Please drop students off in the “green room” behind the theatre for both the Dress Rehearsal and Recital.There is a side door by the soccer field and in the hallway, it is the first door on the right past the stairway.Tickets can be purchased, and parents can enter at the front entrance to the theatre.
We would like to begin our Dress rehearsal at 3:45 on Thursday, June 1st, trying our best to finish by 5:15 pm. Students can then go home, rest and have supper, returning to the “green room” backstage by 6:30 pm for the Recital at 7:00pm. During the dress rehearsal, we will send the youngest children out a little earlier, if possible. Please do not enter the theatre. The students will gather in the green room and then enter the theatre. I’d like to remind everyone that no one other than dancers and helpers are permitted in the dress rehearsal and there is no food or drink permitted in the theatre.
No photographs or videos may be taken during the Recital.
Tickets are now available for the Recital and can be purchased from Valerie at the studio or in the theatre lobby at Glenlyon Norfolk School Theatre during the Dress Rehearsal, at 3:45 pm or at the door, Thursday, June 1st. Ticket are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 years and under, paid in cash or cheque at Theatre. (Arrangements to pay by e-transfer must be made with Valerie, picked up in classes only, until Tuesday, May 30th).
Summer Art & Dance Camp -July 17th-21st, 2023: The “Art & Dance” camp July 17th to July 21st is for ages 5-7 years (mornings) and 8-10 years (afternoons) Children will enjoy expanding their creativity while discovering different mediums of art, with projects to bring home at the end of the week. They will also experience fun movement and dance classes that include development of ballet skills. Information will be posted on our website www.dancearabesque.ca and sent to our current students in the next week. Information about the August 21st-25th for session will be available soon.
Registration is now being accepted for the 2023-2024 Season. Registration forms are available at the studio or on the website. Registration forms and the $35 registration fee can be dropped off at the studio before June 15th, by emailing Valerie or students can be registered online.
